How your Walk-Along Donation Helps and Where the Money Goes
Programs and services:
$50 will pay for someone with lupus to attend a support group.
$75 will pay for a newly diagnosed patient to attend an Education Day.
$100 will pay for a family in our Let Kids be Kids program to attend a fun day trip.
$150 will pay for a financial grant to help someone with lupus pay their prescription co-pays.
$250 will pay for a financial grant to help someone with lupus pay for a doctor`s visit they need, but cannot afford.
$1,000 will pay for our brochures; The Facts about Lupus, Coping with Lupus and The Genetics of Lupus to be given out at hospitals, clinics, health fairs and schools, to make sure a newly diagnosed patient can find the resource they need.
$1500 will pay for a symposium where patients can speak to experts in the field on research, clinical trials, new medications and more.
In 2013, through its national office and 50-state network of chapters, the National MS Society devoted $121.9 million to its programs and services that assisted more than one million people. To move us closer to a world free of MS, the Society also invested $43.3 million to support more than 350 new and on-going research projects around the world.
