Train to be a Lupus Voice at Health Fairs, Speaking Engagements and Support Groups.

The Lupus Alliance of LIQ is seeking volunteers who are interested in helping those who have lupus. As a volunteer “Lupus Voice” you would help us spread awareness about lupus throughout Nassau, Suffolk and Queens.

During the year our trained volunteers attend speaking engagements at schools, organizations, health fairs, churches and other venues. We also have opportunities for volunteers to facilitate support groups once a month in varying locations.

Being a Volunteer for the Lupus Alliance of LIQ is a rewarding experience. If you have lupus yourself, it is a wonderful way to give back and help someone who may be newly diagnosed and scared of their future with lupus. If you love someone with lupus, volunteering to attend health fairs or facilitate support groups can help you learn to cope with your loved ones illness by learning more about the disease that affects your lives.

Training is complimentary and held in our office in Bellmore. If you are interested please e-mail J.C. with your name and contact info.

Your knowledge could be the difference in the life of someone with lupus. Join us today and become a “Lupus Voice.”
